Can I be discriminated against for belonging to a union?

I believe I am being discriminated against because of a disability or Illness, can my employer do this?

I have a disability and employers often use this as a reason for not taking me on, even though I know I can do a job I feel they should not be allowed to use that excuse.

I make no secret of the fact that I am gay. This has no bearing on the work I do but other people seem to think I am a bit of a joke or that it is good justification to play “practical jokes” and generally “have a bit of a go”. Do I have to put up with this?

My employer discriminates against me because I don't look or dress the same way as the other employees. Is this right?
