The vital voice of childcare workers from across NSW needs to be heard participating loud and clear in the growing debate about the future of this crucial work. The LHMU Child Care Union will be holding their 2003 conference in November on the theme Quality Care - Quality Pay . " The importance of early childhood education is agreed throughout the community as being vital for a child's lifetime development.

It is time that your contribution is recognised through fair and decent wages. " It is time that there is some acknowledgement of your skills, training, experience and responsibilities as childcare workers. The recognition of your contribution to the community is overdue."
