Cleaners in bus cavalcadeDate: 06 September 2004
Angry school cleaners from rural and regional centres across NSW are getting up in the early hours of the morning to catch a bus to Sydney to join the big protest rally against Bob Carr. " Our members want to make sure rural and regional voices are heard loud and strong telling the Premier job security is a major issue for all our communities," Mark Boyd, LHMU Cleaners Union Assistant State Secretary, said today. " In Grafton they'll be leaving for Sydney at 12.30am; In Gunnedah the bus trip will start at 4.30 am and in Wagga Wagga it will be 4am. " Everybody will be there to represent their communities - to say these jobs are vital for rural and regional NSW."
