'Witch hunt inside Telstra.'Date: 26 September 2004
Telstra management are currently conducting a 'witch hunt' amongst staff to try to discover who leaked a report which embarrassed the senior management & the Howard Government. Currently, Telstra Management are conducting so-called "disciplinary investigations" to try and discover which staff members provided this information and made it possible for the Shadow Minister to expose the problems in the network. Whoever made the report available, provided a real service to the public by demonstrating that what the Federal Government and Telstra management had been telling the public about the high quality Telstra services standards was wrong & completely untrue. 'They should be given a medal, not be the subject of a management driven 'witch hunt'. Said Len Cooper, Victorian Secretary of the Communications Union. (CEPU) 'The public has a right to know if the politicians and public officials are deceiving them says Len Cooper.'
