The new face of povertyDate: 12 October 2004
An important forum on low pay, welfare and the working poor to explore the intersections between low-paid work, poverty and the welfare system. This discussion is vital, as low-paid jobs grow and as governments increasingly attempt to push families from social security into a labour market of low-paid and precarious jobs. The forum will focus on common solutions behind which the community sector, the union movement and other progressive voices can unite.
