SCLC Goes OnlineDate: 22 March 2006
The South Coast Labour Council has launched its web site today as it moves to top gear in the campaign against the Federal Government's radical and oppressive workplace laws. Unions NSW Secretary, John Robertson was on hand with SCLC Secretary Arthur Rorris this morning to 'flick the switch' which brought the new web site online and within reach of hundreds of thousands of local workers who will now have an important local communication tool for their campaign against Howard's unfair laws. "The Web site is an invaluable asset for a campaign and community focussed organisation such as our own" "The site will be a valuable campaign tool particularly in remote regional and rural areas where geographic isolation is a barrier" "The idea is to enable maximum interaction of delegates, activists and concerned members of the broader community throughout the South Coast, Snowy Mountains and Queanbeyan districts." The Web address for the South Coast Labour Council is: www.sclc.com.au
