New directions in labour lawDate: 01 August 2007
Australia's leading industrial lawyers and labour market researchers will be meeting in Sydney this Friday, 3rd August, at the Hilton Hotel to share their understandings of Australia's rapidly changing system of labour law. They will be contributing to the 16th Annual Labour Law Conference organised jointly by Sydney Law School, Sydney University and the Workplace Research Centre.
Conference papersThe Conference will hear papers prepared on critical issues such:
- the legal and practical implications of last year's High Court Decision on the Work Choices legislation (Prof Ron McCallum - University of Sydney)Also included in the conference kit is a paper on Beyond Voodoo Economics and Backlash Social Policy: Where next for working life research and policy? John Buchanan, Ian Watson and Chris Briggs, University of Sydney, Iain Campbell RMIT University.
