AWU online asbestos register

Date: 10 June 2009

he Australian Workers Union has taken another step in helping people who have been exposed to asbestos.

asbestos 745776 [asbestos 745776.jpg]Anyone, across Australia,  who thinks they may have been exposed to asbestos either at work or in their homes can go to either  www.tas.awu.net.au and click directly onto the Asbestos Register tab here to record their details.

Once submitted the information is automatically recorded within a national asbestos register database managed by Maurice Blackburn Lawyers.

It is important that you do take a few seconds to register.

The information may assist with an individual's future claim for compensation even though they may be perfectly healthy when they register.
