Clean Start for sustainable industryDate: 24 October 2009
After a successful three and a half year campaign, cleaners have not only achieved fair pay and working conditions for themselves; they have also educated industry stakeholders on the need to move on to a sustainable footing as an industry. As a result of the education and consultation that happened during the Clean Start campaign, industry stakeholders have recognised the need for changes. They have responded by embracing the new Clean Start industry standards. To support this move toward sustainability within the cleaning industry we're inviting property owners and other industry stakeholders to visit our new online one-stop-shop. The Guidelines include a host of resources to make sure we all make the journey together. They include an up-to-date responsible cleaning company list, up-to-date Clean Start briefings, key issue fact sheets, supporter statements, up-to-the-moment briefings on issues as they arise and all the Government procurement news. The Clean Start Guidelines to Responsible Contracting are a tool for property owners and other industry stakeholders. They are guidelines to ensure this industry is one we can all be proud of and one that is becoming sustainable and secure for all stakeholders. To find out everything you need to know to make that happen, just click here.
