Ark Tribe verdict postponed againDate: 01 November 2010
Ark Tribe's November 3 court hearing has now been postponed until November 24. The Magistrate David Whittle citing more time was needed to reach what will be a landmark decision. Ark was due to hear if he was to be found guilty or innocent for standing up for his rights with the magistrate expected to announce his verdict on the day. This latest development follows a string of adjournments and other postponements in the case stretching over two years. This newest postponement throws into turmoil numerous plans with key rallies and protests organised across the country, as well as in London. Many union officials, representatives and media were also expected to fly in to hear the verdict. Ark has now faced court more than 7 times, charged with not attending an interview with the Australian Building and Construction Commission. The anxious wait for Ark and his family continues yet again.
