Book: The Bitter Fight: A Pictorial History of the Australian Labor Movement
The Australian newspaper did not appear on Monday 30 November, 1829. Typographers of the paper, then owned by William Charles Wentworth, went on strike as they had been underpaid. Was this the colony's first strike? Illustrated history from the early years of the colony until WWI.
